Jerry Noga - PGA of Canada Life Member

We are excited to welcome Jerry Noga, to Sutton Creek Golf Club, as one of our premier golf instructors.  Jerry has come to Sutton Creek as a “Class A” Golf Professional, with the designation of “Life Professional” with the PGA of Canada.  He has been a member of the Canadian PGA since 1987, and for his first 13yrs of his 35 plus years as a golf professional, he worked on Canada’s west coast, in Vancouver and on Vancouver Island, before returning to Calgary, Alberta, in 1999.  There he spent the next 18 years of his career, teaching at “Real Swing Golf,” and then at “The National Golf Academy,” before becoming the “Director of Golf Instruction” at Saugeen Golf Club, in Port Elgin, Ontario, where he worked for 5 seasons, 2018 through 2022.

During his career, Jerry developed his understanding and philosophy of the golf swing after studying many great golf professionals.  He has had the opportunity to receive clinic instruction from Larry Mize, the 1987 Masters Champion, and the great golfing legend, Lee Trevino, back in 1992.  He was also schooled by other teaching greats, Dr. Gary Wiren, and Bob Toski, and Hank Haney and Butch Harmon, who both worked with Tiger Woods, early in Tiger’s career development.  However, the most influential person in Jerry’s developing teaching philosophy was Canada’s great, George Knudson, the “Man With The Million Dollar Swing!”

In his formative years, Jerry attended the University of Manitoba and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in “Earth Sciences.”  As a player during his professional golf life, he achieved many top 10 finishes in Assistant Tour Events and Pro-Ams.

A highlight came in 1991, when Jerry led his team to victory, winning the prestigious PGA of British Columbia’s Pro-Executive Golf Tournament.
